                             AN ACT
 PERMITTING MOTOR VEHICLES TO STAND UNATTENDED WITHOUT FIRST
    STOPPING THE ENGINE.

 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
    Section 1.  Section 321.362, Code 2017, is amended to read
 as follows:
    321.362  Unattended motor vehicle.
    No A person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle shall
 not permit it the vehicle to stand unattended without first
 stopping the engine, or when standing upon any perceptible
  grade without effectively setting the brake thereon and
 turning the front wheels to the curb or side of the highway.
