4,

amended
to
read
as
follows:

business
must
employ
less
than

individuals.

2.
APPLICABILITY.
This
Act
applies
to
businesses
that
5
apply
on
or
after
July
1,
2023,
to
the
butchery
innovation
and
6
revitalization
program
established
in
section
15E.370.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
9
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
a
business
to
employ
less
than
75
11
individuals
to
be
eligible
to
apply
for
the
butchery
innovation
12
and
revitalization
program
(program)
established
in
Code
13
section
15E.370.
Under
current
law,
a
business
must
employ
14
less
than
50
individuals
to
be
eligible
to
apply
for
the
15
program.
The
bill
applies
to
businesses
that
apply
to
the
16
program
on
or
after
July
1,
2023.
