8A.413,
subsection
5,
Code
2011,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

5.
a.
For
the
public
announcement
of
vacancies
at
least
3
ten
days
in
advance
of
the
date
fixed
for
the
filing
of
4
applications
for
the
vacancies,
and
the
advertisement
of
the
5
vacancies
through
the
communications
media.
The
director
may,
6
however,
in
the
director’s
discretion,
continue
to
receive
7
applications
and
examine
candidates
for
a
period
adequate
to
8
assure
a
sufficient
number
of
eligibles
to
meet
the
needs
of
9
the
system,
and
may
add
the
names
of
successful
candidates
to
10
existing
eligible
lists.

b.
That
when
publishing
a
public
announcement
of
vacancies
12
on
the
department’s
internet
site,
that
such
publication
13
include
all
defined
benefits
information
for
the
vacancy
as
14
well
as
the
anticipated
cash
value
of
such
benefits.

EXPLANATION
16
This
bill
requires
that
the
department
of
administrative
17
services
adopt
rules
to
ensure
that
when
the
department
18
publishes
an
employment
opening
on
its
internet
site,
the
19
department
also
publish
all
information
related
to
defined
20
benefits
for
that
position
as
well
as
the
monetary
value
of
21
those
benefits
on
the
same
publication.
