  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  483A.4A  Lifetime hunting license ====
  1  2 residents sixty=five years of age or older.
  1  3    A person who is a resident of this state and who is or will
  1  4 turn sixty=five years of age or older is eligible to apply for
  1  5 and obtain a lifetime hunting license under section 483A.1,
  1  6 subsection 1, paragraph "k".  The person may apply for the
  1  7 lifetime hunting license beginning on the first day of the
  1  8 first month of the calendar year in which the person will
  1  9 attain the age of sixty=five.
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1 12 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1 13    This bill provides that an Iowa resident who is or will turn
  1 14 65 years of age or older is eligible to apply for and obtain
  1 15 a lifetime hunting license.  The person may apply for the
  1 16 lifetime license beginning on the first day of the first month
  1 17 of the calendar year in which the person will attain the age of
  1 18 65.  The fee for a lifetime license under Code section 483A.1,
  1 19 subsection 1, paragraph "k" is $50.50.
