is

amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

Ensure
that
in-person
visits
are
made
to

long-term
care
facilities,
assisted
living
programs,
and
elder

group
homes,
as
necessary,
to
carry
out
the
duties
specified
in

this
section
to
improve
the
health,
safety,
welfare,
and
rights

of
residents
or
tenants.

inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
office
of
state
long-term
care

ombudsman
to
ensure
that
in-person
visits
are
made
to
long-term

care
facilities,
assisted
living
programs,
and
elder
group

homes,
as
necessary,
to
carry
out
the
duties
specified
in
this
14
Code
section
to
improve
the
health,
safety,
welfare,
and
rights

of
residents
or
tenants.
