MEMBER

LOCAL
BOARD
OF
HEALTH.
BE
IT
ENACTED
BY
THE
GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
135.1,
subsection
2,
Code
2020,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:
2.
“Health
officer”
shall
mean
means
the
physician
,
physician
assistant,
advanced
registered
nurse
practitioner,
or
advanced
practice
registered
nurse
who
is
the
health
officer
of
the
local
board
of
health.
Sec.
2.
Section
137.105,
subsection
1,
paragraph
d,
Code
2020,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:
d.
Local
boards
of
health
shall
consist
of
at
least
five
members.
At
least
one
member
shall
be
licensed
as
a
physician
under
chapter
148
,
a
physician
assistant
under
chapter
148C,
an
