is

amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

PARAGRAPH
.
h.
The
all-terrain
vehicle
is
operated
on
3
a
two-lane
primary
road
between
the
hours
of
4:00
a.m.
and
4
10:00
p.m.
and,
if
the
two-lane
primary
road
is
located
within
5
the
corporate
limits
of
a
city,
the
city
has
designated
the
6
road
for
use
by
all-terrain
vehicles
in
a
manner
similar
to
7
designations
under
section
321I.10,
subsection
3.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
allows
for
the
operation
of
all-terrain
vehicles
12
on
two-lane
primary
roads
between
the
hours
of
4:00
a.m.
and
13
10:00
p.m.
If
the
two-lane
primary
road
is
located
within
14
the
corporate
limits
of
a
city,
the
operation
is
allowed
only
15
if
the
city
has
designated
the
road
for
use
by
all-terrain
16
vehicles.
The
definition
of
“all-terrain
vehicle”
in
Code
17
section
321.1(4)
includes
off-road
utility
vehicles.
A
18
violation
of
the
provisions
of
the
bill
is
punishable
by
a
19
scheduled
fine
of
$50.
