Section
1.
BREWERY
LICENSING
AND
REGULATION
INTERIM
STUDY
1
COMMITTEE.
The
legislative
council
is
requested
to
establish
2
an
interim
study
committee
during
the
2014
interim
to
examine
3
the
promotion,
regulation,
and
licensing
of
breweries
in
4
the
state.
The
study
shall
focus
on
existing
licensing
and
5
business
restrictions
on
breweries,
consider
the
establishment
6
of
consistent
regulations
governing
breweries
and
brew
pubs,
7
and
examine
the
possibility
of
establishing
a
separate
beer
8
promotion
board.
The
goal
of
the
study
is
to
examine
how
best
9
to
encourage
the
development
of
the
local
brewery
industry
in
10
the
state
within
a
reasonable
alcoholic
beverage
regulatory
11
environment.
The
study
committee
shall
present
its
conclusions
12
and
recommendations
in
a
report
to
the
2015
session
of
the
13
general
assembly.
