STATE
CHILD
CARE
ASSISTANCE
ELIGIBILITY.
The
department
of

health
and
human
services
shall
amend
its
administrative
rules
3
pursuant
to
chapter
17A
to
provide
income
eligibility
for
state
4
child
care
assistance,
according
to
family
size
for
children
5
needing
basic
care,
to
families
whose
nonexempt
gross
monthly
6
income
does
not
exceed
two
hundred
fifty
percent
of
the
federal
7
poverty
level.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
directs
the
department
of
health
and
human

services
to
provide
income
eligibility
for
state
child
care
13
assistance,
according
to
family
size
for
children
needing
basic
14
care,
to
families
whose
nonexempt
gross
monthly
income
does
not
15
exceed
250
percent
of
the
federal
poverty
level.
