amended
to
read
as

follows:

A
pupil
who
participates
in
open
enrollment
for
purposes
of
4
attending
a
grade
in
grades
nine
through
twelve
in
a
school
5
district
other
than
the
district
of
residence
is
ineligible
to
6
participate
in
varsity
interscholastic
athletic
contests
and
7
athletic
competitions
during
the
pupil’s
first
ninety
school
8
calendar
days
of
enrollment
in
the
district.
However,
a
pupil
9
may
participate
immediately
in
a
varsity
interscholastic
sport
10
under
any
of
the
following
circumstances:

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
changes
the
period
of
time
a
student
must
wait
to
15
participate
in
varsity
interscholastic
athletic
contests
and
16
competitions
from
90
school
days
to
90
calendar
days
after
the
17
student
open
enrolls
in
a
new
school
district.
