The
department
of
health
and

human
services
shall
request
any
necessary
waivers
from
the

food
and
nutrition
service
of
the
United
States
department
of
5
agriculture
to
increase
flexibility
to
WIC
participants
by
6
allowing
the
issuance
of
noncontract
brand
infant
formula,
7
including
infant
formula
imported
from
Canada
and
infant
8
formula
available
online.
The
department
shall
implement
the
9
waiver
upon
receipt
of
federal
approval.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
department
of
health
and
human

services
to
