  1  1    Section 1.  MEDICAL ASSISTANCE HOME AND COMMUNITY=BASED
  1  2 SERVICES WAIVERS == WAITING LIST REDUCTION ==
  1  3 APPROPRIATION.  There is appropriated from the general
  1  4 fund of the state to the department of human services for the
  1  5 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018,
  1  6 in addition to any moneys appropriated from the general fund of
  1  7 the state to the department of human services for the medical
  1  8 assistance program for the same fiscal year, the following
  1  9 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, for the purpose
  1 10 designated:
  1 11    For implementation of reductions in the waiting lists
  1 12 for all medical assistance home and community=based services
  1 13 waivers:
  1 14 .................................................. $  7,100,000

  1 16 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1 17 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1 18    This bill provides an appropriation from the general fund of
  1 19 the state to the department of human services (DHS) for fiscal
  1 20 year 2017=2018, in addition to any other moneys appropriated
  1 21 from the general fund of the state to DHS for the medical
  1 22 assistance program for the same fiscal year, for the purpose
  1 23 of implementation of reductions in the waiting lists for all
  1 24 medical assistance home and community=based services waivers.
