A RESOLUTION


Commending Georgia students of Classical Conversations, Inc.; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, members of Georgia Classical Conversations home school communities have a reputation in this state and throughout the nation for demonstrating knowledge, understanding, and wisdom; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Classical Conversations Foundations students strive to achieve excellence by implementing the Christian classical model of education by mastering more than 1,500 pieces of information in the subjects of geography, English, history, Latin, math, science, and timeline; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Classical Conversations Essentials students strive to achieve excellence by mastering English grammar, learning writing composition techniques, and achieving speed and accuracy in mental math skills; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Classical Conversations Challenge students strive to achieve excellence in education by mastering the skills of grammar, exposition, logic, research, debate, and rhetoric through the Socratic method of learning; and

WHEREAS, Vice President Julie Melendez leads the parents and students of Georgia, along with South Georgia Area Manager Kristin Bigalke and North Georgia Area Manager Jeff VanDeMark; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of Classical Conversation, Inc., and its students are appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend the Classical Conversations students for achieving excellence in education through their efforts to implement the Christian classical model of education in the Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge programs.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Leigh Bortins of Classical Conversations, Inc.
