RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Sequoyah High School senior Thomas Brown; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
six Sequoyah High School seniors were honored by Principal Elliot Berman for
their outstanding achievements; and
WHEREAS,
Thomas Brown was congratulated for being designated as a Commended Student in
the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program; and
WHEREAS,
he has shown by the example of his academic accomplishments that the pursuit and
attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the students in this
state; and
WHEREAS,
Thomas personifies the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness,
and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance;
and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Thomas Brown's spectacular scholastic endeavors and congratulate him on being
designated as a Commended Student in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship
Program.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Thomas Brown.
