RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Sequoyah High School senior Madison Gilbert; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
six Sequoyah High School seniors were honored by Principal Elliot Berman for
their outstanding achievements; and
WHEREAS,
Madison Gilbert was congratulated for being selected as a 2012 National
Achievement Scholarship Semifinalist; and
WHEREAS,
Madison has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the
students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
she personifies the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness, and
personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance;
and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Madison Gilbert's spectacular scholastic endeavors and congratulate her on being
selected as a 2012 National Achievement Scholarship Semifinalist.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Madison Gilbert.
