RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mt. Bethel Elementary School; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mt. Bethel Elementary School has been awarded a Superintendent's Distinguished
Achievement Award from Georgia Superintendent Kathy Cox; and
WHEREAS,
this prestigious distinction recognizes Mt. Bethel as one of the top ten schools
in Georgia for the greatest number of students exceeding state standards on the
CRCT; and
WHEREAS,
Mt. Bethel students in the first grade excelled in the reading and math
sections, those in the third grade were equally impressive on their math scores,
and the fifth grade students earned recognition for their reading and math test
results; and
WHEREAS,
at Mt. Bethel, students are treated as valued individuals with unique physical,
social, emotional, and intellectual needs; and
WHEREAS,
the teachers, administration, and staff of Mt. Bethel work diligently and
conscientiously to ensure students have access to the training and resources
necessary to succeed and foster positive relationships and mutual respect;
and
WHEREAS,
by creating a safe and respectful learning environment, Mt. Bethel enables
students to learn with confidence, experience success, and achieve their maximum
potential; and
WHEREAS,
Mt. Bethel's Student Council is instrumental in the school's outstanding
accomplishments, leading students by example, assisting their peers with
effective communication, and maintaining relationships between the faculty and
students that allow the students to flourish and thrive.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mt. Bethel Elementary School on earning the Superintendent's Distinguished
Achievement Award and recognize the excellent achievements and contributions of
the students and staff in making their school superior.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mt. Bethel Elementary
School.
