A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce has been awarded 4-Star national accreditation from the United States Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, since the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce's creation in 2002, the Chamber has maintained the mission to actively serve members as an advocate, resource, and catalyst for business success in the central Savannah River area; and

WHEREAS, national accreditation recognizes the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce for its high standards of practice, full accountability to members, and steadfast commitment to the community; and

WHEREAS, over the years, the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce has earned a well-deserved reputation for sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and a positive impact on the community; and

WHEREAS, the Chamber and its members provide citizens with a strong business environment that increases employment, retail trade and commerce, and industrial growth in order to make Columbia County a better place to live; and

WHEREAS, the outstanding contributions and achievements of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce are worthy of recognition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce for its commitment to shaping the future of Columbia County and the State of Georgia and extend their most heartfelt congratulations for their award of 4-Star accreditation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.
