A RESOLUTION

Commending Tracy and Kimberly Cumbie; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Tracy and Kimberly Cumbie were selected as "Family of the Year" by the Stone Mountain Womans Club; and

WHEREAS, Tracy and Kimberly Cumbie were also selected as the 2011"Family of the Year" by District 4 of the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs; and

WHEREAS, Tracy and Kimberly Cumbie have distinguished themselves in their community of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Tracy Cumbie serves with distinction on the City of Stone Mountain Board of Ethics; and

WHEREAS, Tracy and Kimberly Cumbie are contributors to the life of their town, Stone Mountain, through their volunteer work with several community groups and in service to their church and its missions, such as disaster relief in several venues and construction projects in Mexico; and

WHEREAS, Tracy Cumbie serves as a Main Street Stone Mountain (MSSM) board member and as chairperson of the Promotions Committee; and

WHEREAS, Kimberly Cumbie serves as volunteer coordinator and works with the MSSM director to recruit volunteer citizens to help with festivals and other activities to promote Stone Mountain, in addition to serving on the Board of the Visitors Center.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Tracy and Kimberly Cumbie, "Family of the Year," for their many achievements and contributions to the welfare of their community and this state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to Tracy and Kimberly Cumbie.
