RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Tattnall County High School boys basketball team; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Tattnall County High School boys basketball team completed a successful
season and advanced to the second round of the GHSA Class AA State Championship
tournament; and
WHEREAS,
the Warriors had an impressive season record of 24-4 and faced Laney High School
in the second round of the state tournament, but fell short of victory with a
67-58 loss; and
WHEREAS,
the Warriors' season set new school records for wins and winning percentage and
they brought home the school's second Region Championship title in basketball
with their Region 2AA Championship win; and
WHEREAS,
the team was led by Quay Davis, Randy Harris, Mac Phillips, and B.J. Spikes;
and
WHEREAS,
the team's spectacular season reflects the astute guidance and direction of
their talented coaches; and
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputations for excellence by
performing with courage and precision over months of training and
competition.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Tattnall County High School boys basketball team on its
successful season and extend to players best wishes on all their future athletic
endeavors.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Tattnall County High
School boys basketball team.
