A RESOLUTION

Commending the Brookwood High School Broncos swim and dive team; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Brookwood High School Broncos swim and dive team has established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence in boys swimming and diving with equal emphases on character and academics; and

WHEREAS, this superlative team, composed of Caleb Barrett, Ken Bolton, Brandon Clay, Sean Dixon, Mark Dunn, Aaron Elwood, Pierce Hardy, Dylan Herzog, Danny Nguyen, Dustin Nguyen, Thomas Nguyen, Robbie Swan, Aidan Sweeney, Conor Sweeney, Michael Trice, and Rett Trice, has completed another ultrasuccessful season of swimming and diving competition; and

WHEREAS, as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2008-2009 campaign, the team captured its second consecutive AAAAA State Swimming and Diving Championship; and

WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; their superb swimming and diving talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach Greg Puckett; and

WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned its well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement and the stiff competition which it presented its opponents.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend the Brookwood High School Broncos swim and dive team for its unparalleled achievements and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach Greg Puckett.
