RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Cameryn Massey; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single
most important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Cameryn Massey has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the
students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
a senior at Norcross High School, Cameryn will graduate in May with honors and
has been accepted at the University of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
during her years at Norcross, Cameryn has been named Miss Norcross High School
by her classmates and teachers and was chosen for the homecoming court her
freshman and senior years; and
WHEREAS,
Cameryn has taught Sunday school at North Point Perimeter Church and worked as a
camp counselor at Camp High Harbour YMCA Camp; and
WHEREAS,
a talented athlete, Cameryn has earned seven varsity letters at Northside as a
member of the tennis and volleyball teams; and
WHEREAS,
she earned the Coach's Award and the Norcross High School Blue Devil Award for
exemplifying the true meaning of sportsmanship and team spirit; and
WHEREAS,
by her many achievements, grace, and positive attitude, Cameryn has brought
credit to her parents, her community, her school, and this state;
and
WHEREAS,
all Georgians are proud of young women who, like Cameryn, represent the very
best that this state has to offer; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend Cameryn Massey for her spectacular scholastic endeavors, congratulate
her on her numerous achievements, and express to her their most sincere best
wishes for continued success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Cameryn Massey.
