A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Mr. Samuel E. Prince III; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. Samuel E. Prince III is one of five beloved children of Mrs. Gertrude Prince and the late Mr. Samuel E. Prince II; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Prince was a member of Union Baptist Church before becoming a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in 1973, where he devotedly serves on the Senior Usher Board, as an advisor to junior ushers, as a Sunday school teacher, and actively assists the youth department; and

WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Army, fighting valiantly and bravely in Vietnam and returning to America to spread the Word of God and his infinite greatness; and

WHEREAS, he diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced dramatically by his years of superlative service with the Georgia Department of Transportation, where he has served with honor and distinction; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Prince is united in love and marriage to his lovely wife, Ruth B. Prince, and the couple has been blessed with two remarkable sons, Na'eem and JaVon; and

WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Mr. Samuel E. Prince III for efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service for the State of Georgia; recognize his unparalleled record of community service and his innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need; and extend to him their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Samuel E. Prince III.
