WHEREAS,
energy serves as the bedrock of our way of life, showing up at the flip of a

and
WHEREAS,
even though it is often overlooked, energy's invisible matrix of power flows
throughout all modern human endeavors, making the conveniences of everyday life
possible; and
WHEREAS,
energy generates commerce and fuels economic growth, supplying the simple
comforts of life to necessities on which lives depend; and
WHEREAS,
energy provides careers for tens of thousands of Georgians, ranging from line
worker to engineer, construction specialist to accountant, chemist to

workers are needed to provide a bridge into the future by replacing retiring
workers and maintaining a skilled and engineering workforce; and

people find new and rewarding careers in energy.
