A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Elijah Cale Ford; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Elijah Cale Ford has been studying United States presidential history for half his life, mastering more names and facts from the past at four years of age than most do in a lifetime; and

WHEREAS, Eli is the four year old son of proud parents Brandon and Stephanie Ford of Dallas, Georgia, and is the big brother of Tessa Lou; and

WHEREAS, he is the beloved grandson of Joe and Charlotte Ford of Emerson, Georgia, and David and Christine Lauen of Bonifay, Florida; and

WHEREAS, Eli began learning about the presidents at the age of two when his grandmother gave him a placemat with pictures of the United States presidents; and

WHEREAS, he has memorized all the United States Presidents, Vice Presidents, and First Ladies by sight and number order; and

WHEREAS, instead of the game Duck, Duck, Goose, Eli plays his own version, President, President, Goose; he says the name of the president who was in office that coincides with the number he is counting during a game of Hide-and-Seek; and he loves to play pick a number 1-44 with people and then tell them which president, vice president, and first lady they have chosen; and

WHEREAS, a special treat for Eli is watching the History Channel or visiting the Presidential Exhibit at the Booth Museum in Cartersville; and

WHEREAS, this passionate presidential enthusiast is a student at County Line United Methodist MMO and Preschool and attends Northstar Church; and
WHEREAS, when he is not mastering America's iconic figures, Eli enjoys playing the drums, painting, playing with bugs, and cooking with his parents; and

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this bright and promising young citizen.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Elijah Cale Ford for his incredible enthusiasm and passion for American history and presidents.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Elijah Cale Ford.
