RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Trion High School cheerleading squad for winning their third
consecutive State Class A Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
after months of practicing tumbles, flips, and cheers, the Trion High School
cheerleading squad earned the title of state champions for the third straight
year; and
WHEREAS,
before capturing the state championship title, the Trion squad also won the
regional title for the third consecutive year; and
WHEREAS,
the senior competition cheerleaders included Ashley Clayton, Toni Helms, Haley
Payton, Kelsey Ray, and Hannah Young; and
WHEREAS,
the squad earned a reputation as a cheering powerhouse, demonstrating
considerable talent, discipline, coordination; and
WHEREAS,
as this magnificent squad earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by
performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition,
it is abundantly proper to call them champions.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Trion High School cheerleading squad on their dominating win of the state
championships.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Trion High School
cheerleading squad.
