RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. David Kirkland for outstanding contributions to public
education in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. David Kirkland is a highly respected educator in the Muscogee County School
System; and
WHEREAS,
the contributions and achievements of Mr. Kirkland have been recognized by his
selection as Teacher of the Year for J.D. Davis Elementary School;
and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people and Mr. Kirkland exemplifies the selfless dedication which is
characteristic of our finest educators; and
WHEREAS,
it is appropriate that this body join in expressing appreciation to Mr. Kirkland
for his efforts and accomplishments.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that this body hereby recognizes and
commends Mr. David Kirkland; extends its congratulations upon his selection as
Teacher of the Year; and expresses its gratitude for the great credit this
outstanding educator reflects upon his school and school system and the State of
Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. David Kirkland.
