A
RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life and memory of Mr. Nipton "Nip" Nelson Hill; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of this nation's most distinguished
citizens with the passing of Mr. Nipton Hill; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Hill was the owner of Hilltop Cleaners, a prominent business in the Atlanta
community; and
WHEREAS,
he diligently and conscientiously devoted his time, talents, and energy for many
years providing the best service for his customers; and
WHEREAS,
this beloved family man had a long-term history of dedicated service with Delta
Airlines and was one of the first employees to receive a 50-year service pin;
and
WHEREAS,
he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern
for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he
demonstrated to his family and friends were admired by others; and
WHEREAS,
he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example he made of
his life, he made this world a better place in which to live; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Hill leaves to cherish his loving memories Collett "Carl" and Eleanor Hill,
his son and daughter-in-law; Jan M. Rusin, his adopted daughter; George and
Mildred Hill, his brother and sister-in-law; Betty W. Hill, his daughter-in-law;
Horace Weems, his brother-in-law; and a host of grandchildren, great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relative and friends; and
WHEREAS,
a compassionate and generous man, Mr. Hill will long be remembered for his love
of family and friendship, and this loyal father, grandfather, great-grandfather,
brother, and friend will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing
him.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
honoring the life and memory of Mr. Nipton "Nip" Nelson Hill and express their
deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Mr. Nipton
"Nip" Nelson Hill.
