RESOLUTION
Commending
Michael Cohen, Riverwood High School's 2010 STAR Student; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Michael Cohen has shown by the example of his academic accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the
students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through his superlative
achievements at Riverwood High School where he was a gifted student and was
selected as Riverwood High School's 2010 STAR Student; and
WHEREAS,
Michael was sponsored by Riverwood High School educator Dr. Phil Nissen, who
provided support and guidance throughout the years and encouraged Michael to
achieve his utmost potential; and
WHEREAS,
he has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness,
and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance;
and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend Michael Cohen for his spectacular scholastic endeavors and express to
him their most sincere best wishes for continued academic success in the
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Michael Cohen.
