A
RESOLUTION
Commending
the Bremen Wal-Mart security and Manager Patrick Eller; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
both the Bremen Wal-Mart security and Manager Patrick Eller played a vital role
in apprehending the man who attempted to kidnap seven-year-old Brittney Baxter;
and
WHEREAS,
the Bremen Wal-Mart invested in state-of-the-art surveillance systems, which
were successful in capturing footage of the attempted child abduction;
and
WHEREAS,
the surveillance footage shows the man walking through the store, walking out of
the sight of the camera, and entering the view holding his hand over Brittney
Baxter's mouth in an attempt to carry her out of the store; and
WHEREAS,
this occurred until the kicking and maneuvering of Brittney Baxter, learned from
her brother and the Stranger Danger Program, became too much for the man to
handle and he released her to escape from the store; and
WHEREAS,
Manager Patrick Eller and members of Wal-Mart security quickly contacted
Haralson County 911, which in turn immediately contacted the Bremen Police
Department to notify them of the attempted abduction; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the Bremen Wal-Mart security and
Manager Patrick Eller be appropriately recognized for their assistance leading
to the suspect's apprehension.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Bremen Wal-Mart security and Manager Patrick Eller for their
contributions.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Patrick Eller.
