RESOLUTION
Recognizing
the 2009 Southeast Champions, Warner Robins American Little League; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Warner Robins American Little League baseball team demonstrated an
undefeated season of greatness to clinch the title of 2009 Southeast Champions;
and
WHEREAS,
through perseverance, countless hours of practice, and unyielding determination,
the Warner Robins American Little League baseball team proved to the country
that their program was a force to be reckoned with; and
WHEREAS,
team chemistry, depth, and experience combined to earn Warner Robins the title
of 2009 Southeast Champions and a spot in the World Series; and
WHEREAS,
this team of dedicated young athletes has played together and against one
another for many years; seven members of the team played together on a
10-year-old team that captured the regional title, and two teammates have won
four state championships; and
WHEREAS,
the 2009 team of champions was Cortez Broughton, Kal Dempsey, Jake Farrell,
Harley Hunt, Blake Jackson, Justin Jones, Kyle King, Trey Maddox, Hunter
Phillips, Spencer Sato, Conner Smith, and Jeremiah Stephens; and
WHEREAS,
pushing these athletes to achieve mental and physical toughness, Manager Randy
Jones and Coach Nathan Hunt displayed astute direction, dedication, and
determination; and
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team performed with precision throughout the season and have
come to earn their well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic
achievement, quality of play, and superior
sportsmanship.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend the Warner Robins American Little League team for its unparalleled achievements and congratulate the players and coaches on their Southeast Championship title.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit copies of this resolution to the Warner Robins American Little
League team.
