RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Staten Levings, winner of the National Future Farmers of America
National Winner - Forest Management Proficiency Award; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Future Farmers of America (FFA) and agricultural education provide a strong
foundation for the youth of America and the future of the food, fiber, and
natural resource systems; and
WHEREAS,
the FFA promotes premier leadership, personal growth, and career success among
its members; and
WHEREAS,
agricultural education and the FFA ensure a steady supply of young professionals
to meet the growing demands in the science, business, and technology of
agriculture; and
WHEREAS,
Staten Levings of the Echols County FFA has been recognized with the National
Future Farmers of America National Winner - Forest Management Proficiency Award;
and
WHEREAS,
Staten's service truly demonstrates the FFA motto, "Learning to Do, Doing to
Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve," and sets a fine example for all those
students who will participate in this outstanding FFA chapter in the years to
come; and
WHEREAS,
Staten's dedication to the principles of FFA are worthy of recognition, and the
State of Georgia looks forward with great anticipation to the future of this
promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Staten Levings's outstanding contributions to the welfare of this state and
nation and extend congratulations for being recognized with the National Future
Farmers of America National Winner - Forest Management Proficiency
Award.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Staten Levings.
