A RESOLUTION


Honoring the life and memory of Mrs. Lynnette Lachelle Shephard Hall; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Mrs. Lynnette Lachelle Shephard Hall on February 2, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall was born on December 8, 1966, in Daytona Beach, Florida, to Rosemary James and Willie A. Shephard, and was a beloved daughter of John D. Jackson and Rosemary James-Jackson; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall graduated from Mainland High School, where she was a member of the Chef's Club and Future Business Leaders of America, and earned an associate's degree from Phillips College; and

WHEREAS, she was employed as a medical administrator and manager in Virginia with Dr. Sybiley Medical Office and T.P.M.G., in Florida with the Daytona Beach Housing Authority, in Germany with the United States Army Medical Division, and in Georgia with the United States South Eastern Regional Center in Fort Gordon and Young Smiles Dentistry for Kids; and

WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Mrs. Hall had been a faithful member of Florida's Allen Chapel AME Church, Mt. Mission Missionary Baptist Church, and Hope Fellowship Church; Faith Christian Center in Smyrna, Georgia; and Lakeside Family Life Church in Austell; and

WHEREAS, a gifted beautician, Mrs. Hall enjoyed shopping, interior decorating, and travel; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall was united in love and marriage to Kennedy S. Hall, and was blessed with two remarkable children, Le'Queya and Kennedy, and a wonderful grandson, Jaiden; and

WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she demonstrated to her family and friends were admired by others; and

WHEREAS, she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example she made of her life, she made this world a better place in which to live; and

WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Mrs. Hall will long be remembered for her love of family and friendship, and this loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing her.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Mrs. Lynnette Lachelle Shephard Hall and express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Mrs. Lynnette Lachelle Shephard Hall.
