A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Mr. Ralph White; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. Ralph White is the recipient of a Heart of the Community Award of Honor sponsored by the Redmond Regional Medical Center and produced by the Heart of the Community Board of Governors; and

WHEREAS, Mr. White has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, a native of Floyd County, Mr. White is a graduate of Pepperell High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Berry College; and

WHEREAS, dedicated to uplifting the community of Rome and the lives of others, Mr. White has served as a volunteer with Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful, the Rome-Floyd County Library, Habitat for Humanity, and is a life member of the American Cancer Society; and

WHEREAS, his leadership and service have been instrumental on the board of trustees for the Sara Hightower Regional Library, the Coosa Valley Technical College Advisory Board, and for the Rome Lions Club; and

WHEREAS, Mr. White is retired from the construction industry and is united in love and marriage to his wonderful wife, Annette; and

WHEREAS, the benevolent and honorable deeds of this distinguished gentleman serve as a shining example of volunteerism, and the State of Georgia is honored and blessed to have Mr. White as a citizen.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mr. Ralph White on his volunteer efforts and contributions and congratulate him on his recognition as an unsung hero with a Heart of the Community Award of Honor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Ralph White.
