RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Paul and Doris Purcell on the occasion of their 50th wedding
anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Paul and Doris Purcell were united in love and marriage on June 6, 1959, at
Menlo Presbyterian Church and will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary
this year; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. and Mrs. Purcell's 50 year union and unyielding loyalty and devotion to one
another serve as an inspiration to their family, friends, and neighbors;
and
WHEREAS,
they have been blessed with the love of two remarkable children, Paul and
Robert, a lovely daughter-in-law, Patti, and two wonderful grandchildren, Emily
and Will; and
WHEREAS,
the devotion, patience, and understanding they have demonstrated have provided
the foundation and framework of success in which all of their family members
have developed and flourished; and
WHEREAS,
known for their generosity and kindness, the Purcells have made the world a
better place in which to live, with many incredible contributions to their
family, community, and state; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the Purcells be congratulated on their
many years of happiness and their magnificent 50 year commitment to each
other.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in congratulating Paul and Doris Purcell on their 50th wedding
anniversary and extend their sincere best wishes for many more happy years
together.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs.
Purcell.
