RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. Anthony Simpson on his service as a legislative intern; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Honorable Mark Burkhalter has been very fortunate to have had the
exceptional service of Mr. Anthony Simpson, whose work as a legislative intern
has been marked by his devotion to helping citizens and his constant commitment
to the highest standards of excellence; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Simpson has provided superior support while working in the Speaker Pro
Tempore's Office, proving himself to be professional, efficient, and dependable,
and he has exceeded the standard of service with his excellent research skills;
and
WHEREAS,
as a senior at Clayton State University, Mr. Simpson will graduate in May, 2009,
with a bachelor's degree in political science; and
WHEREAS,
as a son of military parents, a devotion to country and sense of duty to serve
the public was instilled in Mr. Simpson at an early age; and
WHEREAS,
his past work experience as a general manager proved to be an important asset
during his time at the capitol, as he demonstrated great skill in multitasking,
communicating effectively, and an exceptional ability to remain poised under
pressure; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Simpson is united in love and marriage to his supportive wife, Alana, and
they have been blessed with a delightful daughter, Alissa; and
WHEREAS,
his hard work and dedication have been enormous assets to the citizens of
Georgia, and all the members of the General Assembly greatly appreciate the
invaluable service of interns such as Mr. Simpson who enable their business to
run smoothly and successfully.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join to commend Mr. Anthony Simpson on his outstanding service as a legislative intern and extend to him their best wishes for the greatest success and happiness in all his future endeavors.
