RESOLUTION
Commending
the Avondale Pizza Café; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
nine years ago Michael O'Keefe enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity to buy
Avondale Pizza Café; and
WHEREAS,
this year the Avondale Pizza Café will celebrate its 21st anniversary in
a new location on East College Avenue; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. O'Keefe has always wanted for the Avondale Pizza Café to have a
full-service bar, which he is confident he will finally be able to provide at
the restaurant's new location; and
WHEREAS,
Avondale Pizza Café serves signature, New York style hand-tossed pizza
from a recipe that is more than 90 years old and offers a range of specialty
pizzas including the Avondale Avalanche; and
WHEREAS,
the Avondale Pizza Café has been a staple of the Avondale Estates
community for the last two decades and is set to continue to offer good pizza
and company under the direction of Mr. O'Keefe for years to come.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Avondale Pizza Café upon its 21st
anniversary.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Avondale
Pizza Café.
