RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Michael Lewis; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Michael Lewis has shown by the example of his academic accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the
students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through his superlative
achievements at Canby Lane Elementary School, where he has been selected to the
school's Board of Scholars; and
WHEREAS,
to receive this prestigious honor, a student must demonstrate outstanding
academic skills by having one of the top five grade point averages in the entire
school; and
WHEREAS,
Michael has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, and verbal
adroitness necessary for supreme academic performance; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily commend Michael Lewis for his spectacular scholastic
endeavors, congratulate him upon his placement on the Board of Scholars at Canby
Lane Elementary School, and express to him their most sincere best wishes for
continued academic success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Michael
Lewis.
