RESOLUTION
Commending
Dr. C.L. Anderson; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
for more than 30 years, Dr. C.L. Anderson served as Moderator of the Tattnall
Missionary Baptist Association in Hagan, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
under Dr. Anderson's leadership, numerous programs were established and various
churches joined the Association's ranks; and
WHEREAS,
Dr. Anderson served the Tattnall Association with integrity, displaying an
uncanny leadership that resulted in the Tattnall Association developing a
reputation as one of the most respected Associations in the General Missionary
Baptist Convention of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Dr. Anderson was selected as a Vice Moderator for the General Missionary Baptist
Convention and serves as the Convention's liaison for its moderators' division
to the National Baptist Convention; and
WHEREAS,
Dr. Anderson retired as Moderator of the Tattnall Baptist Association in
September of 2008 and was bestowed with the title of Moderator Emeritus the
following December.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Dr. C.L. Anderson for his contributions to his community and
the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. C.L.
Anderson.
