A
RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ms. Janda Kaye Canalis for outstanding contributions to education
in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Janda Kaye Canalis is a highly respected healthcare science teacher at Floyd
County Schools College and Career Academy; and
WHEREAS,
her contributions and achievements have been recognized by her selection as
Floyd County Schools Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Ms. Canalis has, during her teaching career, exemplified the
selfless dedication and professionalism which are characteristic of our finest
educators; and
WHEREAS,
she is known at the local, state, and national levels for the amazing talent she
brings out in her students; and
WHEREAS,
she received the Teacher of the Year honor at the October meeting of the Floyd
County Board of Education; and
WHEREAS,
it is appropriate that this body join in expressing appreciation to Ms. Canalis
for her outstanding efforts and accomplishments in professional
education.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that Ms. Janda Kaye
Canalis is hereby recognized, commended, and congratulated upon her selection as
Teacher of the Year; and gratitude is expressed for the great credit this fine
educator reflects upon Floyd County Schools and the State of
Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Janda
Kaye Canalis.
