RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending South Gwinnett High School's Mr. South 2010 Eric Callaway; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Eric Callaway has shown by the example of his academic accomplishments and
extracurricular involvement that the pursuit and attainment of excellence are
within the reach of the students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
Eric recently earned the prestigious title of Mr. South 2010 at South Gwinnett
High School; and
WHEREAS,
a senior at South Gwinnett High School, Eric is the son of Ricki and Craig
Konkel; and
WHEREAS,
an active volunteer at his church, Eric plans to attend Valdosta State
University, where he plans to play football and study to become a teacher and
coach; and
WHEREAS,
this amazing student enjoys playing the piano, volleyball, singing, and
listening to his favorite musician, Michael Bublé; and
WHEREAS,
by his many achievements and confidence, Eric has brought credit to his parents,
his community, his school, and this state; and
WHEREAS,
all Georgians are proud of young men who, like Eric, represent the very best
that this state has to offer; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks forward with great anticipation to the promising and
bright future of this remarkable young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Eric Callaway on being named Mr. South 2010 and extend to
him best wishes for his near and distant future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. South
2010 Eric Callaway.
