RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending educator Ms. Catherine V. Lipari; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Catherine V. Lipari earned a bachelor's degree in education from Felician
College, master's degrees in elementary education and reading from Columbus
College, and an education specialist degree from Jacksonville State University;
and
WHEREAS,
during her amazing 35 year career in the teaching profession, Ms. Lipari has
taught a wide range of grade levels from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade in
New Jersey, Georgia, and Germany; and
WHEREAS,
she has been committed to the education of children in Douglas County, Georgia,
for the last two decades, teaching at Burnett Elementary, Factory Shoals
Elementary, and Arbor Station Elementary and serving as assistant principal and
principal at Dorsett Shoals Elementary; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Lipari has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital
role that she has played in the field of education and her deep personal
commitment to the welfare of the students of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
her tireless passion for the teaching profession has been recognized with her
Atlanta
Journal–Constitution designations of
Teacher of the Year while at Arbor Station Elementary School and Factory Shoals
Elementary School; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her treatment of students as family
have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates;
and
WHEREAS,
her dedication to molding young minds and challenging students to achieve their
utmost potential has spanned over three decades and two continents and is worthy
of recognition.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Ms. Catherine V. Lipari for her over three decades of
efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the education
of children.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Catherine
V. Lipari.
