A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Water Energy Technologies, Incorporated; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, economic development is crucial to the growth and salvation of many of Georgia's smaller counties; and

WHEREAS, economic development translates into jobs for a community; and

WHEREAS, jobs translate into the workers' ability to pay rent, mortgages, and purchase goods from their local vendors; and

WHEREAS, Georgia extends a welcome mat to reputable corporations, both domestic and foreign; and

WHEREAS, when these corporations come to rural Georgia they meet with several different city, county, and state government decision makers for a possible joint venture subject to the laws of this state; and

WHEREAS, Water Energy Technologies, Incorporated, an Alabama corporation, is looking at three counties in Georgia for possible locations of a green energy fuel plant from Georgia's millions of pine trees producing wood chips; and

WHEREAS, some corporations need to preserve the sovereignty of a foreign corporation, maintaining their independence.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Water Energy Technologies, Incorporated, and extend a welcome to them to explore a joint venture with the governing authority of Baldwin County, Georgia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Mayor and City Council of Baldwin County, Georgia, and to the CEO of Water Energy Technologies, Incorporated.
