RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Dr. William H. Rhodes, Jr.; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dr. William H. Rhodes, Jr., earned a bachelor's degree from the University of
Georgia on August 16, 1956, and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia
School of Medicine on June 3, 1961; and
WHEREAS,
he completed a 12 month Rotating Internship at Grady Memorial Hospital on July
1, 1962, and began his own private practice in Union Point in Greene County;
and
WHEREAS,
he has been united in love and marriage to Cynthia Peavy for 59 years and
through this union has been blessed with four remarkable children, Cindy Rhodes,
Ginger Rhodes Mulherin, Sally Rhodes Boswell, and Lee Rhodes Channell;
and
WHEREAS,
he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he has made
of his life, he makes this world a better place to live; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper that he be appropriately recognized during the
occasion of his 50th year of service to Greene County.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Dr. William H. Rhodes, Jr., for 50 years of unselfish,
dedicated, and loyal service to his community and state and extend to him their
most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. William
H. Rhodes, Jr.
