RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Robert Wittenstein; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Robert Wittenstein has been an involved member of the Dunwoody community for
over 20 years, serving as an integral part of the development and incorporation
of the City of Dunwoody; and
WHEREAS,
he has served on the Citizens for Dunwoody Executive Board and as a lead member
of the Charter Task Force, treasurer, and chairman for the ten task forces
created to help shape the future government of Dunwoody; and
WHEREAS,
he was elected during Dunwoody's first municipal election on September 16, 2008,
and served with distinction as one of the first councilors of the City of
Dunwoody, bringing his business acumen and detail-oriented perspective to each
discussion for the betterment of the community; and
WHEREAS,
during his tenure as councilman, Mr. Wittenstein's service as part of the Budget
Committee and the Service Provider Selection and Evaluation Team assisted the
city in ensuring the provision of a high level of service while saving millions
of taxpayer dollars; and
WHEREAS,
his support of the community's long-range planning efforts solidified Dunwoody's
vision for the future, and his backing of sustainability initiatives assisted
the attainment of both Bronze and Silver Level Green Communities Certification;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Wittenstein has diligently and conscientiously devoted his time, talents,
and energy to improving the quality of health care through effective use of
technology for the City of Dunwoody; and
WHEREAS,
his significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable patience
and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of Dunwoody and this state have earned him the respect and admiration
of his colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary accomplishments of
this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Mr. Robert Wittenstein for over two decades of efficient,
effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the City of Dunwoody and
the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Robert
Wittenstein.
