A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending William and Vera Walls on the occasion of their 75th wedding anniversary; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, William and Vera Walls were united in love and marriage on March 30, 1935, and will be celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary this year; and

WHEREAS, Mr. William Franklin Walls was born on May 21, 1915, in Jackson County, Georgia, and is a retired farmer and contractor; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Vera Lorine Bishop Walls was born on July 30, 1920, in Greene County, Georgia, and diligently and conscientiously devoted her time, talents, and energy to her family as a homemaker; and

WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Walls's 75 year union and unyielding loyalty and devotion to one another serve as an inspiration to their family, friends, and neighbors; and

WHEREAS, they have been blessed with the love of eight remarkable children, Helen, David, Joyce, Barbara, Larry, Eugene, Dianne, and Deborah; and

WHEREAS, this amazing couple are loved and cherished by their ten wonderful grandchildren, Connie, Lamar, Kimberly, Tracy, Trent, Chanda, Michelle, Vickie, Adam, and Mark; their ten amazing great-grandchildren, Shannon, Elliot, Rebecca, Jared, Ethan, Caleb, Abigail, Kaylee, Levi, and Gavin; and their two great-great-grandchildren, Cruz and Mason; and

WHEREAS, the devotion, patience, and understanding they have demonstrated have provided the foundation and framework of success in which all of their family members have developed and flourished; and

WHEREAS, known for their generosity and kindness, Mr. and Mrs. Walls have made the world a better place in which to live, with many incredible contributions to their family, community, and state; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that Mr. and Mrs. Walls be congratulated on their many years of happiness and their magnificent 75 year commitment to each other.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in congratulating William and Vera Walls on their 75th wedding anniversary and extend their sincere best wishes for many more happy years together.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. Walls.
