RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending 26th Annual Heart of the Community Award Winner Bryan Shealy; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Bryan Shealy's reputation for community service and selfless dedication to
others has been recognized by the Heart of the Community Foundation, Inc., and
the Redmond Regional Medical Center with a 2012 Heart of the Community Award;
and
WHEREAS,
founded in 1987, the Heart of the Community Foundation Award honors community
leaders, with more than 150 individuals recognized for their altruistic service;
and
WHEREAS,
an active member of his community, Mr. Shealy has been involved with the Floyd
County Development Authority, the Floyd County Board of Education, the American
Diabetes Association Walk, the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, the Citizens
Committee for Baseball, and Leadership Rome; and
WHEREAS,
he is united in love and marriage to Kathy Brewer and is blessed with two
remarkable children, Melissa Shell and Chris Shealy, and three wonderful
grandchildren, Madalyn, Jaxson, and Layla; and
WHEREAS,
the benevolent and honorable deeds of this charitable man serve as a shining
example of volunteerism, and the State of Georgia is honored and blessed to have
Bryan Shealy as a citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Bryan Shealy on his outstanding community service and
congratulate him on his receipt of the prestigious 2012 Heart of the Community
Award.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Bryan Shealy.
