WHEREAS, Dr. Taylor pastored churches for 45 years, then taught college-level journalism for 18 years and wellness lifestyle seminars for seniors for 12 years; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Taylor, who earned his doctorate in health education from Southern Illinois University at the age of 75, is proof that one need not take to the rocking chair after retirement but can continue to live an active and fulfilled life, and indeed staying active is what leads to longevity; and

WHEREAS, with his beautiful wife, Sally, children and grandchildren, the Taylor family is living proof that loving relationships are what sustain us.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate and commend Dr. John C.
