A RESOLUTION


Commending Leadership Emanuel participant Lois Clark; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Lois Clark has fully and faithfully participated in Leadership Emanuel 2011-2012, a local program that exposes participants to aspects of agribusiness, health and social services, government involvement, and education and economic development; and

WHEREAS, Leadership Emanuel selects potential leaders in the county and provides a rigorous and challenging educational program designed to equip them to be outstanding future leaders of Emanuel County and the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Leadership Emanuel recognizes demonstrated and potential leadership, where selection alone stands as a testament to the promising character of its gifted participants, people who seize the opportunity to better themselves and, ultimately, their community; and

WHEREAS, participation in Leadership Emanuel allows for the development of skills needed to address the most pressing local challenges through a curriculum that affords skill based training in understanding leadership, effective communication, group decision making, collaboration, and leading change; and

WHEREAS, participants in Leadership Emanuel have shown great commitment to their community and their futures through their dedicated work in mastering the art of effective administration.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Lois Clark for exemplary performance and energetic participation in Leadership Emanuel 2011-2012.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Lois Clark.
