A RESOLUTION

Congratulating the Loganville High School wrestling team on winning the 2009 State Championship and inviting them to be recognized by the House of Representatives; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, through perseverance and iron determination, the Loganville High School wrestling team has earned a reputation for excellence; and

WHEREAS, due to focused preparation, countless hours of practice, and unyielding determination, the team earned the top ranking in this state; and

WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; and

WHEREAS, the state championship team included Tanner Aderhold, Jon Austin, Travis Buice, Blake Chriswell, Matt Cragin, Steven Duffey, Sam Dunn, Justin Fancher, Will Hale, Garrett Harlan, Josh Harlan, Joe Hulen, Dylan Jones, Josh LaRue, Tyler McCance, Heath McGregor, Cameron Myers, Marcus Noland, Chase Owens, Aaron Quade, Agyei Ritter, Michael Sasso, John Smith, Brandon Snyder, Joey Snyder, Austin Spivey, Corbin Streck, Reid Tammen, Corey Taube, Jeremiah Vaught, Jerome Vicidomine, Jon Williams, and Zack Wolaver; and

WHEREAS, the remarkable season was achieved due to the astute direction of Head Coach Pat McCance and assistant coaches Brian Hobbs, Matt Smith, Stephen Smith, and Daniel Walker; and

WHEREAS, the team managers included Victoria Burton, Darien Gourley, Erin Holbert, Sydney Garmon, Michelle Kennedy, Megan Nollet, Brittany Price, Tonya Price, and Ashley Rodriguez; and
WHEREAS, the team earned their well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, and their performances this season are worthy of recognition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate the Loganville High School wrestling team on winning the State Championship and invite them to be recognized by the House of Representatives at a date and time to be determined by the Speaker of the House.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to the Loganvalle High School wrestling team.
