RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. Kris Plummer, Jefferson High School's 2012 STAR Teacher; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Kris Plummer has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role he has played in the teaching profession and his deep personal
commitment to the education of the students of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Kris Plummer has earned distinction and numerous awards for teaching
excellence as a result of his dedication to his students and his profession and
has been honored as Jefferson High School's 2012 STAR Teacher; and
WHEREAS,
he currently serves as the co-organizer of District XIII's Large Group
Performance Evaluation; is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the Georgia Music
Educators Association, the National Band Association, and the National
Association for Music Education; and he started the guitar curriculum at
Apalachee High School and Jefferson High School, which serves over 30 students
per semester; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding
individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Mr. Kris Plummer, Jefferson High School's 2012 STAR Teacher,
and express to him their most sincere best wishes for continued success in the
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Kris
Plummer.
